The Multi-Purpose Genoa provides sailors with a valid alternative when sailing in light wind conditions. The bi-radial cut makes best use of the warp-strength properties of the top-quality nylon, which means lower stretch and good sail shape retention. The MPG is designed for use with medium-light wind, from 0 to 12 knots, and apparent wind angles between 30 and 90 degrees. An MPG will considerably improve your sailboat's performance and completes the complement of sails required on a cruise yacht, in addition to the mainsail, roller genoa and MPS. With a light wind, when the roller genoa is too small and heavy, the MPG will provide the necessary power to enable the boat to make headway. The MPG is hoisted clear of the headstay so there is no need to remove the furling genoa. |

The insertion of a non-stretch textile line in the luff and use of a nylon sailcloth make the MPG particularly easy to manage. This means it can be stowed in a small space. And using the MPG doesn't require any costly equipment - just a halyard and a double sheet. You can also choose from the colour range available for nylon sailcloth, provided this is compatible with the panel layout. The MPG can also be fitted on a jib roller that simply rolls it along its own luff, making it easy to hoist, furl and stow. | ||
